We need some creative Crocheters. We are filling up bags full of art
supplies and cuddly animals to ship off to very ill children in hospitals.
There is no greater way to show you care than to make a
cuddly toy or beautiful bag for a sick or needy child.

We are a support group for Pine Ridge Reservation in SD. Pine Ridge contains the two poorest counties in the entire U.S. We are working in conjunction with Helping our Lakota Families to help the people of Pine Ridge.

We are an all volunteer organization that meets monthly
to sew, exchange patterns and ideas, and prepare
our deliveries to area hospitals.

NICU Miracles began in late March 2003. A woman, by the name of Alison Adams (me), started this charity up after deciding it was time to give back to the community.
She also wanted to begin instilling the wanting to give instead of receive into her son's lives.

My dream is to see that as many neonatal units as possible are supplied with "angel dresses", so that no baby is handed to it's Mom and Dad for their final goodbyes, dressed only in an undershirt and diaper. You can make a difference.

We are a group of volunteers who sew, knit, crochet, and quilt for premature infants and babies in need. We donate to hospitals, crisis pregnancy centers, shelters, law enforcement agencies, foster care, WIC offices, and individuals across much of the state of Colorado. We are a wonderful group of ladies who enjoy knitting or crocheting. We are making hats/caps for women and men and children who are going through Chemo Theraphy at this time.

To help the people of Afghanistan and to let them know that Americans and
Canadians care, we launched "afghans for Afghans."

afghans for Afghans is a humanitarian and educational people-to-people
project that is sending hand-knit and crocheted blankets, hats, mittens,
socks, sweaters, and vests to displaced Afghan families. We also encourage
people to get together to make group blankets. We work in partnership with
the San Francisco office of the American Friends Service Committee and World Concern.

We are a new chapter of these organizations that make quilts and afghans for terminally and/or tramatized children in the area. We need help with making these items and also can use donations of leftover yarns.

Because we are in the beginning stages of becoming
a non-profit organization, we are currently funded by
our friends and families. Any contributions are
greatly appreciated.

This project is 100% for Senior Citizens.

We make crocheted baby items such as hats, booties, afghans, and mittens for babies in the Oakwood Hospital NICU in Dearborn, Michigan. We have 6 people in our group and are looking for people to help us with this worthy project. Most of the babies are preemies, but there are also some full-term sick babies so we have a variety of sizes to make.

If you are a crafty person, please consider donating your items, which don't have to be crocheted, to us. We also accept materials such as yarn and ribbon that our group will use to make these items.

Our goal is to have a pair of booties, hat, and mittens for each baby to go home with. We also intend on branching out to other local area hospitals. Please stop by our website for pattern links, picture gallery, and helpful hints.

PROJECT HOPE AFGHAN

We make and distribute afghans to children who are receiving treatment at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center here in Houston. We accept donations of yarn and completed or partially-completed afghans.

"Afghans for Angels" is an organization made up completely of volunteers who make and distribute baby blankets to local hospitals to give to parents who have suffered the loss of their infant through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death.

Our "Afghans for Angels" are placed lovingly around these infant Angels when they are held by their families for the brief time in which bittersweet hellos and sad good-byes are said. The parents are then allowed to keep these afghans as a token of rememberance of their baby. Just having something soft to hold is comforting for the parents.
