MATERIALS:
Red Heart Classics (0951 Tropical Fruits- less than 2.5 ounces)
Hook - Size G
Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec.
Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM
TOP SOLE (make 2)
R1: Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea rem ch. Ch 1, turn. (4sc)
R2: Sc in ea st. Ch 1, turn. (4sc)
R3: Rep R2.
R4: 2sc in first st. Sc in ea rem st. Ch 1, turn. (5sc)
R5: Sc in ea st across to last sc. 2sc in last sc. Ch1, turn. (6sc)
R6: Rep R4. (7sc)
R7-8: Rep R2. (7sc)
R9: Sc dec over 2 sts. Sc in ea rem st. Ch1, turn. (6sc)
R10: Sc in ea st across to last 2 sts. Sc dec over last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn. (5sc)
BORDER: 32 sc evenly spaced around sole. (mark as right side)
BOTTOM SOLE
R1: Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea rem ch. Ch 1, turn. (4sc)
R2: Sc in ea st. Ch 1, turn. (4sc)
R3: Rep R2.
R4: Sc in ea st across to last sc, 2sc in last st. Ch 1, turn. (5sc)
R5: 2sc in first st. Sc in ea rem st. Ch 1, turn. (6sc)
R6: Rep R4. (7sc)
R7-8: Rep R2. (7sc)
R9: Sc in ea st across to last 2 sts. Sc dec over last 2 sts. Ch1, turn. (6sc)
R10: Sc dec over first 2 sts. Sc in ea rem st. Ch 1, turn. (5sc)
BORDER: Sc evenly around sole. (mark as right side)
Fasten Off.
ASSEMBLY: Hold one top sole and one bottom sole with wrong sides tog. Sew corresponding inside stitches together using a whip stitch. You can see how to whip stitch here:

HEEL AND TOE STRAPS
R1: Ch 4, sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from hook. Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (3sc) Ch 1, turn.
R2-12: Sc in ea st. Ch 1, turn.
Fasten off.
Using the photo as a guide sew one toe strap on the sole, then sew one heel strap on the back side of the toe strap so it wraps around the heel.
NOTE: You can adjust the toe and heel straps by adjusting the number of rows made.
