Barb's Purple Hat Crochet Pattern


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

LionBrand Homespun (Grape) - less than one skein

Hook Size G

Stitches: ch, dc, sc, sl st, sc2tog.

Difficulty:  EASY/MEDIUM


R1: Ch61, sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (60sc)

R2: Sl st in first sc you made on R1 to form a ring, being careful not to twist your stitches.
Ch1, do not turn. Sc in next st. Place Marker. Sc in ea rem st around. (60sc)

Rs3-21: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in next st. Place Marker in that st.
Sc in ea rem st around. Join with sl st in marked st.

BEGIN DECREASING

R22: (Sc2tog, sc in 3sts) around.

R23: (Sc2tog, sc in 2sts) around.

R24: (Sc2tog, sc in next st) around.

Rs25-26: (Sc2tog) around.

Fasten off leaving an 8" yarn tail. Use a yarn needle to weave the yarn tail through the remaining sts and draw the opening closed.

EDGE

Reattach yarn in the unworked lp of any st along R1. Ch3, 2dc in same st. Sc in next st.
(3dc in next st, sc in next st) around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.

Fasten off.
