Basic Scrunchie

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

 

MATERIALS:

Mary Maxim Crochet Cotton - Mercerized Sportweight (white & periwinkle)
Aluminum Hook Size D

Stitches: ch, dc.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


R1: Ch 61. Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each rem ch. Ch 3, turn.

R2-4: Dc in each dc. Ch 3, turn.

R5: Dc in each dc, fasten off leaving a 2 foot strand for sewing.

Finishing: Fold short ends tog and stitch the corresponding stitches tog.
Hold the hair elastic with Rows 1 & 5 tog, stitch tog the corresponding stitches, enclosing the hair elastic as you go.

Finish Off.

NOTE: You can make your scrunchie more ruffled by increasing the number of beginning chains.
