Big Christmas Stocking Crochet Pattern

Measures:
Heel to Toe = 13-1/2"
Top to Bottom = 22-1/2" (without cuff folded down)


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (Red - approximately 10 ounces)
Hook Size G

Stitches: ch, sc, sc2tog, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


R1: Ch69. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (68sc)

R2: Being careful not to twist Round 1, sc in the first sc made on that round.
Sc in ea rem st on Round 1.

Place Marker

Rs3-60: Sc in ea sc around.
Reposition Marker after each rnd.

BEGIN FOOT SHAPING

R61: Sl st in next st.
(Place a marker on the opposite side of this round. This will be known as the "Heel Marker".
Ch12, (these chains form the toe) sc in 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in the next 10 chains. (11sc)
Sl st in the st at the base of the chain.
Sc in ea st across to marker.
3sc in marked stitch.
Reposition Heel Marker in center st of those 3 scs.
Sc in ea sc across to the 1st 11scs.
Sc in unworked lp of ea of the 11 scs.

Sc once more in the last st to finish this rnd.
Place Marker in that stitch.

R62: Sc in ea st of toe and in ea st of foot placing 3sc in the marked st of the heel and 3scs in the st at the end of the toe.

Rs63-69: Sc in ea st around, placing 3sc at the end of the toe.

Rs70-85: Sc in ea st around, ending at the tip of the toe.

Rs 86-90: Sc2tog at the tip of the toe.
Sc in ea st across to heel.
Sc2tog at the heel.
Sc in ea rem st across to finish the round.

R91: (Sc2tog) around. Sl st in the next st. Ch1.

Turn stocking Inside-Out. Sc corresponding sts tog.
Fasten Off and weave in the ends.

Fold down part of the top of the stocking to form the cuff.

This is a basic "Big Stocking".
Embellished it any way you want.
OPTIONAL: Add a Christmas ribbon for a hanger.
