The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Cotton Thread (Bedspread Weight - Size 10)
Steel Hook Size 2

Stitches: ch, sc, dc.

Difficulty:  EASY/MEDIUM


R1: Ch68, join with sl st to form a ring. Ch1, sc in ea ch. (68sc)

Do not join. Begin continuous rounds.

R2: Sc in ea sc around. Place marker in last sc.

Rep R2 until piece measures 4", repositioning marker as you finish each new round.
Sl st in next st.

EYELET ROUND: Ch4, sk next st, dc in next st. (Ch1, sk next st, dc in next st) around to last st. Ch1, sk last st. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch4.

EDGING: Sl st in next ch1 sp. Ch3. (Dc, ch2, 2dc) in same sp. Sc in next ch1 sp. * (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch1 sp. Sc in next ch1 sp. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.

Turn pouch inside out and sc bottom edge through corresponding stitches.

Turn pouch back right side out.

TIE STRING: Ch2, sc in 2nd ch from hook. * Ch1, sc in last sc. Rep from * until the string is 18" long.

FINISHING: Weave the tie string through the eyelet round (see photo).


Draw pouch closed and tie in a bow.
