NOTE: Size depends on type of yarn and size of hook.

Note: photographs are not the size of the actual project.
The following pattern is my original design and can only be copied or printed for personal use.
Thanks to Kay T. of Tennessee this pattern has been corrected.
Row 1 previously stated to "Repeat from * 7 times more". I have changed the pattern to read "Repeat from * 6 times more"

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size I (adjust your hook size according to the type of yarn you choose)

Yarn: small amount of any type of yarn.
(I used Red Heart for the butterfly in the first photo and Jamie in the second photo)

Pipe cleaner (any color that accents the color yarn you choose)

Stitches used: ch, sl st, dc.

Difficulty: Easy

RND 1: Chain 6, sl st in 6th ch from hk to form a ring. Ch 3 (counts as first dc). Work the following stitches inside the ring you just made, 2 dc, ch 2 * 3 dc, ch 2. Repeat from * 6 times more. Join with sl st in top 1st dc. Ch 3, turn.

RND 2: (2dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch 2 sp. * (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in each rem ch 2 sp. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. DO NOT CH OR TURN.

RND 3: Sl st in next 2 dc, sl st in next ch 2 sp. Ch 3, 9 dc in same sp. * Sc in next open space, 10 dc in next ch 2 sp. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3.

FASTEN OFF.
WEAVE IN ALL YARN ENDS.

TO FINISH: Fold work in half lining up the sets of 10 dcs. Fasten a pipe cleaner around the center and twist to form antenae. (see photo for placement)
