Candle Skirt

I used a Gold Canyon Candle Co. Jar Candle but I believe it will fit any large jar type candle.

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

 

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Holiday Yarn
(white-silver and small amount of burgundy-gold)
Hook Size I

Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, dc,
Love Knot = (Ch 1 loosely, sc in the hump on the back of the ch.)

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM


R1: (Ch4, 4dc in 4th ch from hook. -shell made-) 11 times.
Join with a sl st in the 4th ch from the hook on the first shell (the same space the first 4dc were worked.) Ch3, turn.

Remainder of pattern is worked in rounds.

R2: Working along the opposite side of R1 in the 4th ch of ea shell,
Sc in next shell. (Ch3, sc in next shell) around. Do not join.

R3: Turn, sl st in ch-3 sp. Ch3, 8dc in same ch-3 sp. Sc in next ch-3 sp. (9dc in next ch-3 sp. Sc in next ch-3 sp.) around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. Do not turn..

R4: Sl st to center st in next 9dc group.
Ch1, sc in same st. 9dc in next sc. (Sc in center st of next 9 dc group. 9dc in next sc) around.
Sl st in first sc made. Do not turn.

R5: Ch3, 8dc in same st. Sc in center st of next 9dc group. (9dc in next sc. Sc in center st of next 9dc group) around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.

Alternate repeating R4 and R5 until candle is covered.

TIE STRING:
Make a 28-30" string of love knots.
Weave through the ch-3 sps between R1 and R2.
Insert candle and tie a bow.
