EDGING

Sc in ea st and in ea row end around entire piece placing extra sts as needed in corners.

HANDLE

Make a chain as long as you want. I made the one in the photo long enough to be worn as a shoulder strap.
Hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook and in ea rem ch. Placing 5 hdc in the last ch. Working back up the opposite side of the foundation chain, hdc in each unworked lp. Place 3 more hdc in the end ch to make a total of 5 hdcs in that end. Join with a sl st.

FINISHING

Using a yarn needle and the same thread you crocheted with, sew the flap onto the back center of the purse. Attach the button to the center front so it aligns with the button hole on the flap. Sew the handle to the inside of the purse on each side being careful not to twist the handle.

Fasten Off.
