Christmas Bun Cover


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Hook Size G
Lionbrand Chenille Sensations - garnet - (less than half of one 1.4 oz skein)
Standard Pony Elastic
22" white 1/8" ribbon

Stitches Used: ch, dc, dc dec.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM


Row 1: Attach yarn to pony elastic. Ch 3, 10 dc in ring. Ch 3, turn. ( 11 dc)

Row 2: Dc in same sp as beg ch-3. 2 dc in each rem st. Ch 3, turn. (22 dc)

Row 3: Dc in each st. Ch 3, turn.

Row 4-5: Rep Row 3.

Rows 6: *Dc dec over next 2 sts. Dc in each of next 2 sts. Rep from * across to last st. Dc in last st. Ch 3, turn.

Rows 7: * Dc dec over next 2 sts. Dc in next st. Rep from * across to last 2 sts. Dc in each of last 2 sts. Ch 3, turn.

Row 8: (Dc dec over next 2 sts) across to last st. Dc in last st.

Fasten Off.

FINISHING: Weave the ribbon in and out of the row ends along the sides of the bun cover leaving the tie ends near the elastic. Put hair in the unworked pony elastic, positioning the bun cover at the top of the pony tail. Tuck hair under the bun cover, draw the ribbon tight and tie a bow on top.
