MATERIALS:
Red Heart 4-ply ww yarn (Cherry & Hunter Green)
Hook Size I
Stitches: ch, sl st, dc.
Difficulty: EASY
R1: With Green, ch19. Dc in 5th ch from hook. (Ch1, sk next ch, dc in next ch) across.
R2: Ch3, turn. (Dc in ch-sp, ch1, sk next dc) across to last 2 dc. Sk next dc, dc in ch-sp. Dc in last dc.
R3:Ch4, turn. Sk next dc, dc in next ch-sp. (Ch1, sk next dc, dc in next ch-sp) across to last 2 dc. Ch1, sk next dc, dc in last dc.
R4-79: Repeat R2 and R3, changing to Red on R23, then change back to green on R58.
Fasten Off.
FRINGE: Cut three 12" lengths of red yarn for each fringe.
Insert hook in stitch, fold three strands of yarn in half. Using the hook, draw the folded ends of the yarn up through the stitch and pull the loose ends through the folded end. This completes a fringe and all you need to do is tighten up the knot by pulling on the strands of yarn. Continue with this method in each dc along both short edges. You can trim the ends even with scissors after all fringes are added.
