My name is Mindy Sperber and I noticed that in row 3 you need to add ch 3 after you join with sl st and again
in row 4 you need to add ch 3 after you sl st to beg ch 3. Thank you for the great pattern. It turned out great and I love it.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size J

Yarn: Red Heart 4 Ply (GREEN)
Renuzit Air Freshener (SPICE)
12-18 Mini Jingle Bells
White felt for star for top
Glue
Sewing Needle and Green Thread

Stitches used: ch, sl st, dc.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


BASE:

ROW 1: Ch 4, 7 dc in 4th ch from hk. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 4. Ch 3, turn. (8dc)

ROW 2: Dc in same st as beg ch 3. 2dc in each rem st. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3, turn.

ROW 3: Dc in same st as beg ch 3, * dc in each of next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3, turn.

ROW 4: Dc in each st. Join with sl st in beg ch 3, Ch 3, turn.

ROW 5: Rep Row 4.

ROW 6: Dc in same st as beg ch 3, * Dc in each of next 3 sts. 2 dc in next st. Rep from * across to last 2 sts. Dc in each of last 2 sts. Join with sl st, ch 3, turn.

ROWS 7-9: Rep Row 4. NOTE: after row 9, do not ch 3.

FASTEN OFF.

WEAVE IN ENDS

~ BASE COMPLETED ~

BRANCHES: Holding base upside down, join yarn around the post of any dc on the last row. * Ch 3, sk next st, sc around post of next st. Rep from * around. Do not join... each time you finish a row, go up to the next row and continue in the same pattern working in a spiral.

FASTEN OFF.

WEAVE IN ENDS

FINISHING: Sew jingle bells on with green sewing thread, glue star to the top, and insert air freshener.
