MINI STAR TREE TOPPER

R1: Ch 5, join to form a ring. Ch 1, turn.

R2: (Sc, ch 5) 5 times in ring. Join with sl st in 1st sc.

Fasten off leaving a 5" tail. Thread this yarn tail into the yarn needle
and sew the star onto the top of the tree.

DECORATE THE TREE

Cut another piece of thread about 2' long. Sew it into the back of the tree for a few stitches to hide
the end. Bring the thread to the front of the tree and stitch it criss-crossed over the tree like I did the one in the photo.
Secure the other end of thread into the back of the tree also. I didn't tie any knots in mine but
if you have children who like to play with your tree ornaments you may want to
secure your ends with a knot. If you don't like the criss-cross decoration you could
make little french knots in your choice of colors to resemble little tree lights.

Attach a hanger.
