MATERIALS:
Hook: Size H
Yarn: 4 ply worsted weight
Stitches
used: ch, sl st, dc, tr, bptr, fptr.
Difficulty: MEDIUM
RND 1: Ch 5, 19 tr in 5th ch from hk. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 5. Do not turn.
RND 2: Sl st around post
of beg ch 5, ch 5. BPTR around same tr.
*FPTR around next tr, BPTR around same tr.
Rep from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 5. Ch 3, Do not turn.
RND 3: Dc in next 8 sts.
* (2dc, tr, ch 2, tr, 2dc) in next st, dc in next 9 sts. Rep from * twice.
(2dc, tr, ch 2, tr, 2 dc) in last st. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Do
not turn.
RND 4: Sl st around post
of same st as joining. Ch 4. BPTR around next st.
*FPTR around next st, BPTR around next st. Rep from * 4 times more.
[ <CORNER> (2tr, ch 2, 2 tr) in ch 2 sp. BPTR around next st.
* FPTR around next st, BPTR around next st. Rep from * 6 times more. ]
Rep from [ to ] twice. BPTR around next st, FPTR around next st, BPTR around
next st.
Join with sl st in top of beg. Ch 4.
FASTEN OFF.
WEAVE IN ENDS.
NOTE: If your finished square doesn't measure 6" x 6" then you need to adjust your hook size.
