< A NOTE FROM CATHY >
The date on the book is May 1967.
As i sit here and typed out this pattern I thought about the changes i have made to it.
I use the regular 4 ply yarn cause the rug yarn is not available here, and I change the colors
used in the pattern often to match an afghan I'm making. The color choices depend on the
individual and I've used blues, whites, greens, reds, blacks, greys, and they all have looked good.
I also have enlarged the pattern by repeating from round 22 to 26 as many times as I need to
make the rug the size I want it to be. I have also used different size needles but I like the K.
Take Care
