Cupcake Applique Free Crochet Pattern

Measures 3-1/4" x 3-3/4"

This is a great pattern to use up small scraps of yarn.


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight
Mix and match colors depending on your scrap yarn colors.
I used: C1 = Brown C2=White C3=Red
Yarn Needle
Hook Size H/8 5.00MM

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st, scps, sc2tog

Difficulty: MEDIUM


CUPCAKE BOTTOM

R1: With C1, Ch7. Sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook.
Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (6sc) -RS-

R2: Ch1, turn. 2sc in the first st.
Sc in ea st across to the last.
2sc in last st. (8sc)

R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (8sc)

R4: Rep R2. (10sc)

R5: Rep R3. -RS-

Fasten off.

ICING

R6: With C2, and RS facing, join with a sc in BLO of the first sc.
Sc in BLO of same st.
Sc in BLO of ea st across to last st.
2sc in BLO of last st. (12sc)

R7: Rep R3.

R8: Ch1, turn. Sc2tog. Sc across to last 2sts. Sc2tog. (10sts)

R9: Rep R3.

R10: Rep R8. (8sts)

R11: Rep R3.

R12: Rep R8. (6sts)

Fasten off.

RUFFLE FOR ICING

With RS facing, join C2 with a sl st in the first unworked lp on R4.
(Ch3, sl st in next unworked lp) across.

Fasten off.

CHERRY ON TOP

With C3, and RS facing, join with a sc in the 3rd sc on the last row.
Scps in the same st... pushing the puff to the front/RS of the work
sl st in the next st to complete the puff scps.

Fasten off.
