MATERIALS:
Hook Size G
4 ply Cotton Yarn (small amount of main color and tiny amount of contrasting color)
Yarn Needle
Snap
Thread
Sewing Needle
Stitches Used: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec.
Difficulty: EASY
Row 1: Ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: 2sc in 1st st. Sc in each st across to last st. 2 Sc in last st. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Rep Row 2.
Row 4: Rep Row 2. (12 sc)
Row 5: Sc in each st. Ch 1, turn.
Row 6: Rep Row 5.
Row 7: Rep Row 5.
Row 8: Rep Row 5.
Row 9: Sc dec over 1st two sts. Sc in each st across to last. Sc dec over last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn.
RIGHT SIDE TIE
Sc in 1st 3 sts, ch 1, turn. Sc in 1st st. Sc dec over last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn. Sc dec over both sts. * Ch 1, turn. Sc in same st. Rep from * 5 times.
RIGHT SIDE TIE
Reattach yarn in 3rd st from the edge on Row 9. Sc in each of the 3 sc. Ch 1, turn. Sc dec over 2 sts, sc in last st. *Ch 1, turn. Sc in same st. Rep from * 5 times.
FINISHING: Sew snap onto the ends of the ties to make it easier for little hands. Decorate edge of bib with contrasting color of choice as shown in photo by evenly spacing stitches around the outer edging of the bib. The decorative stitch I used is explained on the following page:
