This pattern was inspired by my daughter, Haley. She kept shopping for a bikini for her Baby Born Doll and couldn't find one before we went to the beach. So this pattern was created.

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
I wrote this one down in a hurry so please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

I used less than an ounce of a 4 ply acrylic yarn that had no label.
It is more comparable to a Sport Weight Yarn than a Worsted Weight Yarn.

Hook Size F

Gauge: 4 rows of hdc = 1-1/2"
           5 hdc sts = 1"

Stitches: ch, hdc, hdc dec, sc, sl st.
Front Loop Only = Crochet into the loop closest to you.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM


BIKINI TOP

R1: Beginning at bottom edge.
Ch19, hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Hdc in ea rem ch. (18hdc)

Rs2-3: Ch2, turn. Hdc in ea st.

Right Side of Top

R4: Ch2, turn. Hdc dec over 2 sts (same st as beg ch2 and the next st).
Hdc in next 4 sts. Hdc dec over 2 sts.

R5: Ch2, turn. Hdc dec over 2 sts (same st as beg ch2 and the next st).
Hdc in next 2 sts. Hdc dec over 2 sts.

R6: Ch2, turn. Hdc over 2 sts (same st as beg ch2 and the next st).
Ch1, hdc over 2 sts.

TIE: Ch1, turn. Sc in ch1 sp. Ch35 for the tie string.

Fasten Off.

Left Side of Top.

With tie string on your right side, reattach yarn in the 2nd unworked st on R3. Ch1.
Repeat Rows 4-6 and Tie row.

Fasten Off.

BOTTOM TIE BAND:

Ch45, with bottom edge on top, attach yarn with a sc in 1st st. (ch3, sc in next st) across.

Ch45 for opposite tie.

 

BIKINI BOTTOM

FRONT

R1: Beginning at the crotch, ch8, hdc in 3rd ch from the hook. Hdc in ea rem ch.

R2: Ch2, turn. Hdc in ea st.

R3: Ch2, turn. 2hdc in first st. Hdc across to last st. 2hdc in last st.

Rs4-7: Rep R3.

TIES: Ch25. Fasten off.
Reattach yarn to opposite side and ch25. Fasten off.

BACK

With Row 1 facing you so the first stitch is on the right side. Reattach the yarn in the first stitch.

Rs1-6: Ch2, turn. 2hdc in first st. Hdc across to last st. 2hdc in last st.

R7: Ch1, turn. (Sc in front loop only of next st, ch3) across.

R8: Ch2, turn. Working in unworked lps on R7, hdc in ea st.

Rs9-10: Ch2, turn. 2hdc in first st. Hdc across to last st. 2hdc in last st.

R11: Rep R7

R12: Rep R8

TIES: Ch25. Fasten off.
Reattach yarn to opposite side and ch25. Fasten off.
