DOLL FINGER PUPPET

 

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
This pattern has not been tested so please contactme if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Steel Size #7

Yarn: Size 10- 100% Mercerised Cotton ( Lt. Peach) - for body
Sport weight yarn - Brown for hair.

Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec, hdc, dc.

MC = Main Color (Peach)
CC = Contrasting Color (Brown)

Yarn Needle

Difficulty: MEDIUM

PM = Place Marker


RND 1: With MC, ch 20, join to form a ring. Ch 1, work 20 sc in ring.

Now begin working in continuous rounds.
Sc in each sc until piece measures 2". PM

HEAD

R1: * Sc dec over next 2 sts. Rep from * around. PM (10 sc)

R2: Sc in each sc. PM (10 sc)

R3: 2 sc in each sc. PM (20 sc)

R4: 2 Sc in each sc. PM (40 sc)

R5: Sc in each sc. PM (40 sc)

R6: Sc in each sc. PM (40 sc)

R7: * Sc in next sc, sc dec over next 2 sc. Rep from * around. PM

R8: Sc in each sc. PM

R9: Rep R8.

R10: Rep R8.

R11: Rep R7:

R12: Rep R8.

R13: Rep R7.

R14: Rep R7.

R15: Rep R7.

R16: Sc dec over next 2 sts, around to close the opening... sl st in last st.
FASTEN OFF.

 

ARMS (Make 2)

R1: With MC, ch 6, join to form a ring. Ch 1, sc in each ch. ( 6sc)

Begin working in continuous rounds.

R2: Sc in each sc until piece measures 1-1/4". Sl st in next st. Ch 1, turn.

Holding sides together, begin closing the wrist by working 3 sc stitches evenly across the piece - through both sides.

Ch 1, turn. 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st.

 

HAND

Ch 3, turn. Sl st down ch and in next st. Ch 2, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in last st.
FASTEN OFF.

Use yarn needle to join arms to body.

HAIR

Cut 4" strands of CC and attach them one at a time through the stitches of the head.

FACE

Using the photo as an example, embroider the face. Be creative if you have a special method of embroidering.

FINISHING: Stuff the head with yarn scraps.
