Easter Egg Hotpad Crochet Pattern

Measures approximately
8-1/2"W x 10-3/4"L


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Simply Soft - 4ply WW Yarn
Hook Size I

Stitches: ch, sc, sc2tog

Difficulty:  EASY


NOTE: Pattern is worked holding two strands of yarn unless otherwise indicated.

R1: Ch9, sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (8sc)

R2: Ch1, turn. 2sc in 1st st. Sc in ea st across to last st. 2sc in last st. (10sc)

R3: Rep R2. (12sc)

R4: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.

R5: Rep R4.

Rs6-7: Rep R2.

Rs8-9: Rep R4.

Rs10-11: Rep R2.

Rs12-15: Rep R4. (20sts)

R16: Ch1, turn. Sc2tog. Sc in ea st across to last 2 sts. Sc2tog. (18sts)

R17: Rep R16.

Rs18-19: Rep R4.

Rs 20-21: Rep R16.

Rs22-23: Rep R4.

Rs24-25: Rep R16.

R26: Rep R4.

EDGE:

R1: Ch4, do not turn. Sk next row. Sc in next row end. (Ch4, sk next st or row end. Sc in next st or row end) around. Join with sl st in first sc.

R2: Change to single strand of yarn.
(NOTE: You can continue with two strands if you want a thicker edge.
I ran out of this yarn and had to improvise on the edging with one strand in order to work the entire round like I wanted it.)

(Sl st, ch2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st) in ea ch4 sp around. Join with sl st in first sl st.

Fasten Off.
