MATERIALS:
Mary Maxim Crochet Cotton - Mercerized Sportweight (white and periwinkle)
Steel Hook - Size 5
Stitches Used: ch, sl st, sc.
Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM
R1: With white, ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch. Ch 1, turn.
R2: Sc in 1st 2 sc with white. ( Change to periwinkle and work 2 sc. Change back to white and work 2 sc) across.
R3-13: Repeat R2.
R14: Sc in ea st with white only.
FASTEN OFF.
FINISHING: Fold the piece so the stripes run horizontally and single crochet the corresponding sts tog along each side.
HANDLES: Using one strand of white and one strand of periwinkle at the same time, with the photo as a guide, attach to the top of the bag with a sl st, chain 12 and attach on the same side. Repeat on the other side of the bag.
