The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size F

Yarn: Sport Weight ( I used Red Heart Baby Sport)
MC (Main color = White)
CC (Contrasting color = Blue)

Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc.

Difficulty: MEDIUM

BACK

ROW 1: With MC, beginning at neckline, ch 9. Working in the hump of each foundation chain, sc in second chain from hook and in each rem ch across. (8 sc) Ch 1, turn.

ROW 2: Sc in each sc. Ch 1, turn.

ROW 3: Rep Row 2.

ROW 4: 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in last sc. (10 sc)

ROWS 5-7: Rep Row 2.

FASTEN OFF

FRONT

ROW 1: Reattach yarn in 1st st of Row 1 on the Back. Sc in each of 1st 3 sts. Ch 1, turn. <Right Side>

ROW 2: Sc in each sc. Ch 1, turn.

ROWS 3-6: Rep Row 2.

ROW 7: 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st.

ROW 8: 2 sc in 1st st, sc across to last st, 2 sc in last st.

ROW 9: Rep Row 8.

ROWS 10-12: Sc in each st. Ch 1, turn.

FASTEN OFF

With Right Side Facing, reattach yarn in the 6th ch of Row 1.
Repeat instructions for Front .

 

FINISHING:

Fold piece with Row 7 of the Back and Row 12 of the Front together. Using a yarn needle, stitch the sides together at the end of Row 7 (Back) and Row 12 (Front). Also stitch together Row 6 (Back) to Row 11 (Front). Stitch the Front together through Rows 8-12 (this is like you're permanently buttoning the front of the top).

EDGING:

Attach CC in any st on bottom edge. * Ch 3, sc in next st. Rep from * around.

FASTEN OFF

Work the same edging around the neckline.

ARM EDGING:

Attach CC in any st in arm opening, sl st in end of each row.
Repeat for other Arm.
