MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver - 4ply WW (cherry red for the main color)
Red Heart Super Saver - 4ply WW (small amount of white for trim)
Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st, hdc, dc.

Difficulty:  EASY/MEDIUM

R1: With Red, ch4, 4dc in 4th ch from hook.

Rs2-6: Ch3, turn. Dc in same st. Dc in ea st across to last. 2dc in last st.

R7: Ch1, turn. Sc in same st, hdc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next st.

R8: Ch1, turn. Sc in same st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st.

R9: Ch1, turn. Sc in same st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st. Sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st.

EDGE

R1: Ch1, do not turn. Sc evenly down the left side of the heart working in the row ends. Place 3sc in the bottom point (this is the very first chain you made) Sc evenly up the right side of the heart working in the row ends. Sl st in the bl only of the first sc on R9.

R2: (Only work in the back loops on this round) Ch3, 3dc ea st across to center 5 sts of heart. [hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st] in center 5 sts on top of heart (the slip stitch will be in the center of the top of the heart). 3dc in ea rem st around. Join with sl st and fasten off.

With white, working in the front loops of R1 of edge, (sc, ch1) in next st, around. Join with sl st.

Fasten Off.
