MATERIALS

3 inch clown face
3 oz 4 ply country blue yarn
3 oz 4 ply country rose yarn
3 oz 4 ply mint green yarn
Small amount 4 ply yellow and white yarn
#6 Aluminum Hook

1- 24 inch shoelace
Small amount of stuffing
strong thread for sewing

Arm-make 4 country rose, 2 country blue and 2 mint green.

Rnd 1: Starting at center ch 2, 8 dc in second ch from hook. Join to first dc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in first st., 2 dc in each st around.
Join to top of ch 3.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next st around. Join to top of ch 3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc next 2 st together around. Join to top
of ch 3.
Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 4. Cut yarn 5 inches from last st.
YO and pull yarn through. Thread yarn through to of st of last row and pull tight and fasten off.

Body-make 2 of each color.

Rnd 1: Starting at center ch 2, 16 dc in second ch from hook. Join to first dc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in first st, 2 dc in each st around.
Join to first dc.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join to top of ch 3.
Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 3.

Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc next 2 st together around. Join to top of ch 3. Cut yarn 5 inches from last st. YO and pull yarn through. Thread yarn through to of st of last row and pull tight and fasten off.

Leg-make 4 of each color.

Rnd 1: Starting at center ch 2, 8 dc in second ch from hook. Join to first dc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in first st., 2 dc in each st around.
Join to top of ch 3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next st around. Join to top of ch 3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next st around. Join to top of ch3.

Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc next 2 st together around. Join to top of ch 3.
Rnd 6: Repeat Rnd 5. Cut yarn 5 inches from last st.
YO and pull yarn through. Thread yarn through to of
st of last row and pull tight and fasten off.

Collar:

Rnd 1: With counry rose yarn ch 14, join to first chain. 2 dc in each stitch around. Join.
Rnd 2: Chain 3 (counts as first dc), *2 dc in next st, dc in next st.* Repeat from *to* around. Join and
fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join country blue, *ch 1 sc in first st, 3 dc in next*
Repeat from * to *around. Join and fasten off.
Rnd 4: Join country rose yarn in middle dc chain 1
sc in same st., 3 dc in next sc, sc in center of next 3dc group around. Join to first st and fasten off.
Rnd 5: With mint green attach to any st, ch 1, sc in same
st, ch 3, sc in next st. around. Join and fasten off.

Hat:

Starting at point of hat with country rose, ch 2.
Rnd 1: (Rightside): Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc).
Rnd 2: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * once more (8 sc).
Rnd 3: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc; rep from * once more (10 sc).
Rnd 4: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc; rep from * once more (12 sc).
Rnd 5: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc; rep from * once more (14 sc).
Rnd 6: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc; rep from * once more (16 sc).
Rnd 7: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc; rep from * once more (18 sc).
Rnd 8: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc; rep from * once more (20 sc).
Rnd 9: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 9 sc; rep from * once more (22 sc).
Rnd 10: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 10 sc; rep from * once more (24 sc).
Rnd 11: Work * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 sc; rep from * once more (26 sc). Fasten off.
Rnd 12: Using 1 strand country blue and 1 strand mint green sc last row of hat to 3rd row of hat.

Pom Pom:

Using country blue, mint green and country rose wrap around 2" cardboard till you have enough. Thread yarn through bottom and pull tight making a knot and remove cardboard. Cut through top yarn on other end and sew to top of hat.

Back of Head:

Row 1: Using white chain 10. Sc in second chain from hook and following 8 ch.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each stitch across.
Rows 3-10: Repeat row 2. Fasten off.
Sew to head and stuff with stuffing.

Hair:

Using 9 strands of yellow yarn. Make braid that is 6" long. Using 4 - 2" strands of yellow fold in half and sew to middle of braid. Make 12" braids made of 1 strand country blue, rose and mint green. Tie a knot on both ends and tie around ends of yellow braid and make a bow.

Finishing:
Sew hair to head. Sew hat to hair and head.

Using shoelace fold in half. Thread through 6 body circles(first the country blue, mint green, country
rose, country blue, mint green and country rose).
Using one end thread through 6 leg circles (country blue, mint green, country rose, country blue,
mint green, country rose) and back up through 5 body circles. Thread through 4 arm circles (country
rose,country blue, mint green, country rose) and back to body. Do the same with other end. Tie to loose ends together.

Sew collar to top of body and sew head with hair and hat to collar with strong thread.
