In The Pink Potholder

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver - 4ply Worsted Weight Yarn (1 ounce of white and 1 ounce of pink)
Hook Size K

Stitches: ch, fptr, rev sc, sc.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


R1: Holding two strands together throughout - (one strand of each color).
Ch16, Sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in the hump of each rem ch. (15sc)

R2: Ch1, turn. (Eyelet Row)
Sc in 1st st. (Ch1, sk next st, sc in next st) across.

R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea sc and in ea ch1 sp. (15sc)

R4: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st across. (15sc)

R5: Ch1, turn.
Sc in first 2sts.
FpTr around the 2nd sc on the eyelet row.
Sk the next st on the working row.
* Sc in the next st on the working row.
FpTr around the next sc on the eyelet row.
Sk next st on the working row.
Sc in the next st on the working row.
Rep from * across to last st. Sc in the last st.

Rs 6-8: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.

R9: Ch1, turn. Sc in first 2sts.
FpTr around the first FpTr on the Eyelet Row.
Sk the next st on the working row.
Sc in the next st on the working row.
* FpTr around the next FpTr on the Eyelet Row.
Sk the next st on the working row.
Sc in the next st on the working row.
Rep from * across to the last st. Sc in the last st.

Rs 10-13: Rep Rs 6-9.

R14: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.

BORDER:

R1: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st and row end around, placing 3sc in ea corner.

R2: Ch1, do not turn.
Rev Sc in ea st around. At the last corner, Ch6. Join with a sl st in the same corner to form a loop.
Ch1, do not turn. Work 12sc in the loop. Join with a sl st at the base of the loop.
Fasten off.
