In The Round Placemat Crochet Pattern

Measures

The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Peaches N Creme 4ply Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn (Less than 4 oz)
Hook Size I

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st, dc cr st.

 

DOUBLE CROCHET CROSS STITCH (DC CR ST )
Skip a stitch, work a double crochet in the next stitch, then back up and work a double crochet in the skipped stitch. This "crosses" the two doubles.

Difficulty: MEDIUM/DIFFICULT


NOTE: Do not join rounds unless indicated.
Entire pattern is worked in continuous rounds... do not turn at the end of the rounds.
Place a marker in the first stitch on each new round.

R1: Ch2. 6sc in the second ch from the hook. (6sc)

R2: 2sc in ea st around. (12sc)

R3: (2sc in next st. Sc in next st.) around (18sc)

R4: (2sc in next st. Sc in next 2sts.) around (24sc)

R5: (2sc in next st. Sc in next 3sts.) around (30sc)

R6: (2sc in next st. Sc in next 4sts.) around (36sc)

R7: (2sc in next st. Sc in next 5sts.) around (42sc)

R8: (2sc in next st. Sc in next 6sts.) around (48sc)
