Khloe's Measurements: Neck 12" Chest 16" Head to Tail = 14"

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (White, Pink)
     White - less than 2 oz
     Pink - less than 1 oz
     
Hook Size H
Sewing Needle
Coordinating Thread
2 Snaps

Stitches: ch, dc, flo, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

NECK BAND

R1: With White, chain enough chains to equal the neck measurement of your dog plus one inch.
(I chained 42)
Sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook.
Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (you should have 1 stitch less than your original number chs)

R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea sc.

Fasten off.

Divide your # of sts on your Band by 4:

41 / 4 = 10.25

Don't worry about the fraction... my number is 10.
Place a marker on each end of R2 leaving 10 stitches on each end.

BODY

R3: Join same yarn with a sc in the first marked st. Sc in ea st across to the second marker.
(I made 21sc)

R4: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.
R5: Ch1, turn. Sc in FLO of ea st.
R6: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.
R7: Rep R5
R8: Rep R6.
R9: Rep R5.
R10: Rep R6.
R11: Ch1, turn. 2sc in FLO of first st.
Sc in FLO of ea st across to last st.
2sc in FLO of the last st.
R12: Rep R6.
R13: Rep R11.
R14: Rep R6.
Rs 15-30: Alternate R11 & R6 to get the length of the dress you want.

NOTE: My dog's measurement from neck to tail is 14". I made her dress meausre 9".

Fasten off.
Note: The Right Side is the side with the unworked lps.

WAIST BAND

Position and work in 2 row ends just behind the front legs.

R1: Join same color yarn with a sc in one row end. Sc in next row end.
Rs2-15: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.
Note: You need to work enough rows for your band for your dog's chest measurement.
Fasten off.

Repeat on opposite side.

TRIM

Working into the sts of the last row, join Pink with a sl st in the first st.
Ch3 (counts as 1dc) Dc in same st. (Picot, 2dc in next st.) across.

Do not fasten off.

Sc evenly around the entire edge, placing 3sc in ea outside corner st.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

Fasten off.

FINISHING

Sew on snaps for each band.

OPTIONAL

Embellishing is your choice. You could add an applique and/or use surface crochet.
Add additional ruffles in the unworked lps along the rows on the RS.

Fasten off.
