MATERIALS:
Mary Maxim Crochet Cotton - Mercerized Sportweight (white)
Steel Hook Size 1
Stitches: ch, sc, hdc, dc, tr.
Difficulty: MEDIUM
R1: Ch 4, hdc in 4th ch from hook. Ch 1, (hdc, ch 1) in same space 6 times. (8 hdc & 8 ch-1 sps)
Join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 4.
R2: Sl st in next ch-1 sp. (ch 5, sl st in next ch-1 sp) around with last sl st in the first sl st on this rnd.
R3: (sc, ch-2, dc, ch-2, sc) in ea ch-5 sp around. Join with sl st in 1st sc made.
R4: (sc, ch-4, sc) in ea ch-2 sp. Join with sl st in 1st sc.
R5: (2-sl st) in next ch-4 sp. Sc in same sp. (ch-5, sc in next ch-4 sp) around. Join with sl st in 1st sc made.
R6: Ch-3 * (dc, ch-2, tr, ch-2, dc) in next ch-5 sp. Dc in next sc. Rep from * around. Sl st in top of beg ch-3. [16 points]
R7: Sl st in next dc, 2 sl sts in next ch-2 sp. Sl st in next tr. (Ch-7, sk next 3-dc, sl st in next tr) around.
R8: Sl st in first 3 chs of next ch-7 sp. Sc in same ch-7 sp. Ch-9. (sc in next ch-7 sp, ch-9) around. Join with sl st in first sc.
R9: Sl st in first 4 chs of next ch-9 sp. Sc in same ch-9 sp. Ch 9. (Sc in next ch-9 sp. Ch-9) around. Join with sl st.
R10: (Sc, ch-1, hdc, ch-1, dc, ch-2, tr, ch-2, dc, ch-1, hdc, ch-1, sc) in ea ch-9 sp around. Join with sl st. {makes 16 points}.
R11: Sl st up right side of first point. Sc in tr, ch-9. (Sc in tr on next point, ch-9) around. Join with sl st in first sc made.
R12: Ch-4, 8 tr in same sp as joining. (Ch-2, sc, ch-2) in next ch-9 sp. *9tr in next sc -shell made- (ch-2, sc, ch-2) in next ch-9 sp. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch-4.
R13: * (Ch 4, sk next tr, sc in next tr) 4 times. Ch-4. Sk next ch-2. Sk next sc. Sk next ch-2. Sc in first tr of next shell. Rep from * around.
