MATERIALS:

Hook Size G
Scraps of 4 ply worsted weight yarn (brown and white)
Yarn Needle
Ruler

Stitches Used: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM

Wrap white yarn around 12" ruler about 15 times. Cut at both ends to make 30-12" strands.
Fold all 30 strands in half and tie with a strand of brown yarn.

LADY'S HAT

RND 1: Ch 12, join in the hump of the first chain to form a ring. Ch 1, sc in the hump of each chain around. Do not turn.

RNDS 2-4: Sc in each sc around. Place Marker.

RND 5: (Sc dec over next 2 sts) around to close end.

Attach yarn with sl st in any st on Round 1. (Ch 2, sl st in next st) around. Fasten Off.

FINISHING: Place the hat over the end of the tassel where you tied the strands together. Draw the tie strings through the tassel top and tie a knot to secure the hat to the tassel strands. Tie a brown piece of yarn in a bow a the neckline. Gather about 6 strands of yarn on the left and right side of the tassel lady and overlap the strands to resemble little folded arms .

USES: The Little Tassel Lady can be used on a curtain tie back, as a fan pull or just hang her up to look pretty.
