Measures approximately
6" tall with a base of 5-1/2"


The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart 4 ply, worsted weight acrylic yarn
     (white, & black)
Hook Size G
Tapestry Needle
Polyfill - small amount
Tiny piece of orange cardstock
Tacky Glue

Stitches: ch, sc, sc2tog, sl st, hdc, dc.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


HEAD

R1: Ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.

Working in a continuous round placing markers as needed.
Rs2-3: 2sc in ea sc.

Rs4-10: Sc in ea sc.

R11: (sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts) around.

R12: Sc2tog. (Sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog) around.

R13: (Sc2tog, sc in next st) around to last st. Sc in last st.

Stuff Head with polyfill

BODY

Rs14-15: 2sc in ea st.

Rs16-19: Sc in ea st.

R20: (Sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts) around.

R21: Sc in ea st.

R22: Sc in ea st. Join with sl st in next st.

R23: Working in front loops only. 2sc in ea st.

Rs24-25: Sc in ea st.

R26: (Sc in next st, hdc in next st, 2dc in next st, hdc in next st.) around to last st. Sc in last st. Join with sl st in next st.

Fasten Off.

HAT

R1: Ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook.

R2: 2sc in ea st.

Rs3-4: 2sc in ea st.

R5: (Sc2tog in BL only. Sc in bl only of next st) around

Rs6-7: Sc in ea st.

R8: Sc in ea st. Join with sl st.

R9: Ch3, 2dc in FL only of ea st around.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.

Fasten Off.

FINISHING

Attach hat to top of head using black thread... just tack a few stitches to hold it on.
Using the photo as a guide... stitch two black eyes and a mouth using black yarn.
I used a small piece of orange cardstock and a bit of tacky glue to make the carrot
nose which is glued on with tacky glue.
