New Testament Sock Crochet Pattern

Measures 3-1/2" x 5-5/8"

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (Watercolor - small amount)
Hook Size F

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st, rev sc.

REV SC:
A reverse single crochet is worked from left to right; whereas a regular single crochet stitch is worked from right to left. Insert your hook into the stitch or space indicated, then yarn over and pull up a loop. (You should have two loops on your hook.) Yarn over and draw through both of the loops on your hook. This stitch takes a bit of practice but the outcome is well worth the effort.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

R1: Ch15. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in ea rem ch across to last ch.
3sc in last ch. Sc in ea unworked lp of each ch along the opposite side of the foundation chain.
2sc in same ch as first sc (total of 3sc on that end). Join with sl st.

R2: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in ea sc around, placing 3sc in center sc on ea end. Do not join.

BEGIN CONTINUOUS ROUND

Place marker. Sc in ea sc around (repositioning marker after each round) until sock fits your New Testament.
Join with sl st.

EDGE: Ch1, do not turn. Rev Sc in ea st around.
Join with sl st.
Fasten off.
