No Tie Hanging dish Towel

Towel without handle measures
11-1/2" long and 10" wide (at the bottom edge)

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contactme if you find any errors.

 

MATERIALS:

Hook Size G

4 ply cotton

Stitches Used: ch, dc, shell.
Shell = 7 dc in same sp.

Difficulty: EASY

Row 1: Ch 12, dc in 4th ch from hook and in each rem ch. Ch 3, turn.

Row 2: Dc in each dc. Ch 3, turn.

Row 3: Rep Row 2.

Row 4: Dc in each of next 3 dc, ch 3, turn.

Rows 5-8: Rep Row 4..

Row 9: Dc in each of next 3 dc. Fasten Off.

Re-attach yarn in stitch at end of Row 3. Repeat Rows 4-9.
Note: Do Not Fasten Off after Row 9.

Row 10: Ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc. Ch 2. Dc in each of 4 dc on other side. Ch 3, turn.

Row 11: Dc in each of next 3 dc. 2 dc in next ch-2 sp. Dc in each of next 4 dc. Ch 3, turn.

- BEGIN TOWEL -

Row 12: Dc in same sp as beg ch-3. 2 dc in each rem dc. Ch 3, turn. (20 dc).

Row 13: * Sk next dc. Shell in next dc. Sk next dc. Dc in each of next 2 dc. Rep from * twice more. Sk next dc. Shell in next dc. Sk next dc, dc in last dc. Ch 3, turn.

Row 14: Dc in same sp as beg ch-3. *Ch 2, sc in center dc of next shell. Ch 2, shell between next 2 dc. Rep from * twice more. Ch 2, sc in center dc of next shell. Ch 2, 2 dc in last dc. Ch 3, turn.

Row 15: Dc in same sp as beg ch-3. Sk next dc and ch-2 sp. Shell in next sc. Sk next ch-2 sp. Ch 2. Sc in center of next shell, ch 2. * Sk next ch-2 sp. Shell in next sc. Sk next ch-2 sp. Ch 2, sc in center of next shell. Ch 2. Rep from * once. Sk next ch-2 sp. Shell in next sc. Sk next ch-2 sp and next dc. 2 dc in last dc. Ch 3, turn.

Row 16: Dc in same sp as beg ch-3. Sk next dc. * Ch 2, sc in center of next shell, ch 2. Sk next ch-2 sp. Shell in next sc, sk next ch-2 sp. Rep from * twice more. Ch 2, sc in center of next shell, ch 2. Sk next dc, 2 dc in last dc. Ch 3, turn.

Rows 17-33: Alternate Rows 15 and 16, ending with Row 15.

Row 34: Repeat Row 16 except do not chain 3 at the end.

Fasten Off.

TO USE: Put handle over and behind the bar of your oven door handle and pull the towel down through the slit in the towel handle.
