MATERIALS:
2 ply Cotton
Steel Hook Size 1
Stitches Used: ch, sl st, sc, tr, fptr.
Difficulty: MEDIUM/DIFFICULT
R1: Ch 6, join to form a ring. Ch 4, tr in ring. (ch 3, 2 tr in ring) 5 times. Ch 3, join with sl st in top of beg ch4. Do not turn.
R2: Sl st around post of same st as joining. Ch 4, (this looks like a FPTR). (2tr, ch2, 2tr) between 2tr sts. Fptr around next tr. Ch 2. * Fptr around next tr. (2tr, ch2, 2tr) between 2tr sts. Fptr around next tr. Ch 2. Rep from * 4 more times. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 4. Do not turn.
R3: Sl st around same st. Ch 4. Fp tr around next 2 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 3 sts. Ch3. *Fptr around next 3 sts. (tr, ch 2, tr) in ch-2 sp. Fptr around next 3 sts. Ch 3. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in beg ch 4. Do not turn.
R4: Sl st around same st. Ch 4. Fptr around next 3 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 4 sts. Ch4. * Fptr around next 4 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 4 sts. Ch 4. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in beg ch4. Do not turn.
R5: Sl st around same st. Ch 4. Fptr around next 4 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 5 sts. Ch5. * Fptr around next 5 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 5 sts. Ch 5. Rep from * around. Join with sl st. Do not turn.
R6: Sl st around same st. Ch 4. Fptr around next 5 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 6 sts. Ch6. * Fptr around next 6 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 6 sts. Ch6. Rep from * around. Join with sl st. Do not turn.
R7: Sl st around same st. Ch 4. Fptr around next 6 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 7 sts. Ch7. * Fptr around next 7 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 7 sts. Ch7. Rep from * around. Join with sl st. Do not turn.
R8: Sl st around same st. Ch 4. Fptr around next 7 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 8 sts. Ch8. * Fptr around next 8 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 8 sts. Ch8. Rep from * around. Join with sl st. Do not turn.
R9: Sl st around same st. Ch 4. Fptr around next 8 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 9 sts. Ch9. * Fptr around next 9 sts. (tr, ch2, tr) in ch2 sp. Fptr around next 9 sts. Ch9. Rep from * around. Join with sl st. Do not turn.
Edging
Ch 1, (sc, ch4, sc) in same st. *Sc in next st. (sc, ch4, sc) in next st. Rep from * across to ch2 sp.
