MATERIALS:
Red Heart Super Saver (Pink - less than 1 ounce)
Red Heart Super Saver (Gray - less than 1 ounce)
Hook Size I/9-5:50MM
Stitches:
ch, dc, pc, sc, sl st.
Difficulty:
MEDIUM
R1: Ch6, join with a sl st in first ch to form a ring.
(Ch3, sc in ring) 6 times.
R2: Do not turn. (Sc, ch3, sc) in ea ch3 sp around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.
Fasten off.
R3: Join Gray with a dc in any ch3 sp.
(Dc, ch2, 2dc) in same sp.
Ch1.
* (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch3 sp.
Ch1.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in top of beg dc.
Fasten off.
R4: Join Pink with a dc in any ch2 sp.
4dc in same sp.
Remove working lp from hook.
Ins hook in first dc and draw working lp through st. (this makes a beginning popcorn stitch)
Ch4.
(PC in next sp. Ch4.) around.
Join with a sl st in beginning popcorn.
R5: Do not turn. Sl st in next ch sp. Ch3.
(Dc, ch2, 2dc) in same sp.
(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in ea rem ch sp.
Join with a sl st in top of beg ch3.
Fasten off. (48dc)
R6: Join Gray with a dc in any ch2 sp.
(2dc, ch2, 3dc) in same sp. [ corner made ]
Ch2, sc in open sp (the opening between the posts of the stitches)
(Ch2, sc in ch sp. Ch2, sc in open sp.) twice.
Ch2.
*(3dc, ch2, 3dc) in next ch 2 sp. [corner made]
Ch2, sc in open sp.
(Ch2, sc in ch sp. Ch2, sc in open sp.) twice.
Ch2.
Rep from * twice.
Join with a sl st in top of beg dc.
R7: Ch1, do not turn.
Sc in the first 3dc on corner.
(Sc, ch1, sc) in corner ch sp.
Sc in next 3dc.
2sc in ea of next 6 ch sps.
* Sc in next 3dc.
(Sc, ch1, sc) in corner ch sp.
Sc in next 3dc.
2sc in ea of next 6 ch sps.
