Pink Bonbon Afghan Square Free Crochet Pattern

Measures:
8" x 8"


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (Bonbon Print & Pretty in Pink)
     Bonbon Print - 1/2 ounce
     Pretty in Pink - 1 ounce

Hook Size H

GAUGE: 4" x 4" = 12sc & 16 rows

Stitches: ch, sl st, hdc, dc, sc, tr.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


 

R1: With Bonbon Print, Ch8, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Ch1, 16sc in ring. Join with a sl st in the first sc. (16sc)

R2: Ch3, turn. Dc in the same st. 2dc in ea rem st. (32dc)

Fasten off.

R3: With Pretty in Pink, join with a sc in any st. Ch3.
Sk next st. *Sc in next st. Ch3. Sk next st.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc made. (16 ch3-sps)

R4: Do not turn. * (Hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc) in next ch3 sp.
Sc in next ch3-sp. Rep from * around. Join with a sl st in the first hdc.
Fasten off.

R5: Join Bonbon Print with a sc in any tr st. Ch1.
Working between shells and over the sc st, into the ch sp below. (2dc, tr, 2dc) in the next sp.
* Ch1, sc in next tr (center st in shell). Ch1. (2dc, tr, 2dc) in next sp bet shells.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

R6: Join Pretty in Pink with a dc in the first dc of any shell (squares up the pattern)
Dc in the next dc.
(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in Tr.
Dc in next 2dc.
Dc in next chsp.
Dc in next sc.
Dc in next chsp.
Hdc in next 2dc.
Sc in next tr.
Hdc in next 2dc.
Dc in next ch sp.
Dc in next sc.
Dc in next chsp.

* Dc in next 2dc.
(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next tr.
Dc in next 2dc.
Dc in next chsp.
Dc in next sc.
Dc in next chsp.
Hdc in next 2dc.
Sc in next tr.
Hdc in next 2dc.
Dc in next ch sp.
Dc in next sc.
Dc in next chsp.

Rep from * two more times.
Join with a sl st in the top of the first dc.

 

R7: Ch1, turn. Sc in same st. Tr in next st.
(Sc in next st. Tr in next st.) across to corner.

* (Sc, tr, sc) in corner.

Tr in next st. (Sc in next st. Tr in next st.) across to corner.

Rep from * twice.
(Sc, tr, sc) in corner.
Tr in next st. Sc in next st. Tr in last st.
Join with a sl st in first sc.

R8: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st around, placing 3sc in ea corner.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

Fasten off.
