MATERIALS:

Red Heart Supersaver Yarn (worsted weight) - Orange and Brown
Hook Size G
Yarn Needle
Tissue or small piece of fabric.

Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec, hdc, dc.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM


R1: Ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hk, hdc in next 2 chs, dc in next 3 chs, hdc in next 2 chs, sc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.

R2-10: Sc in 1st st, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in lst st. Ch 1, turn.

Fasten off leaving a length of yarn for sewing. Now sew R1 to R10.

Join orange yarn to opening on one end, sc dec around opening until it fits a pencil. Fasten off.

STEM:

With brown yarn, ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea rem ch. Fasten Off.

ASSEMBLY:

Insert a tissue or piece of fabric inside the pumpkin. Using a length of orange yarn, sew the other end closed while securing the stem to the top of the pumpkin. Now using the photo as a guide, stitch on a face using brown yarn.
