MATERIALS:
#10 Bedspread Wt. Cotton
(less than 2 ounces of two different colors)
Steel Hook Size 0/3.25mm
Stitches: ch,
hdc, dc, sc, sl st.
Multiple of 3+1
Difficulty:
MEDIUM
NOTE: Entire pattern is worked holding two strands of thread together.
R1: Holding one strand of each color together, ch46.
Dc in 4th ch from hook.
Dc in ea rem ch. (44dc) -right side-
R2: Ch3, turn. (counts as 1dc)
(Sk next dc, dc in next 2dc, dc in skipped dc) across to last dc.
Dc in lst dc.
Rs 3-24: Rep R2.
R25: Ch3, turn. (counts as 1dc)
Dc in ea st.
EDGE:
R1: *
Ch1, do not turn.
Sc around post of last dc.
2sc around post of last dc in ea row.
Sc around post of dc at end of last row.
Join with sl st in top of same st.
Fasten off. *
Reattach thread in top of 1st dc on opposite side. Rep from * to * along that side.
R2: Holding 2 strands of white tog, join with a sl st in any st. Ch3.
Dc in ea st around placing (dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc) in ea corner.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.
R3: Sl st bet next 2sts. Ch3.
Dc in same sp. (work 2dc in space bet next 2sts) around.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.
Fasten off.
