Sc in the 1st st on R2. Place Marker in that st.
Sc in ea sc around.
After R14, sl st in the next st.

R1: Ch1, Place Marker. Working in the back loops only... (sc2tog) around to marker.

R2: Working in both loops, (sc2tog) around until bottom is closed up.

Fasten off.

R1: Join same yarn in any ch-sp. Ch1.
(2sc in ea ch-sp and 1sc in ea dc) around.
Join with a sl st in the 1st sc.

R2: Ch1, sc in same st. (ch3, sc in next st) around.
Join with sl st.

Fasten off.

Twist a strand of red and a strand of aran or white yarn together until it twists back on itself.
This takes quite a bit of twisting. Once twisted grab the center of the yarn and then bring both ends together to allow it to "twist". Tie a knot in each end, then cut the folded end.

Weave the tie through the dc row and tie in a bow.
