MATERIALS:
Cotton Yarn
- 4 ply WW
Hook Size H
Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, dc.
Difficulty: MEDIUM
MAKE 2
R1: Ch10, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in ea rem ch. (9sc)
R2: Ch4 (counts as 1dc +
1 ch), turn.
Sk next st. Dc in next st.
(Ch1, sk next st, dc in next st.) across.
R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea dc and in ea ch1 sp. (9sc)
R4: Rep R2
R5: Rep R3
R6: Rep R2
R7: Rep R3
R8: Rep R2
R9: Rep R3
EDGE
R1. Ch1, do not turn. Sc evenly around entire piece, placing 3sc in ea corner, 1 sc in ea sc row end and 2sc in ea dc row end. Join with a sl st.
R2: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in next st. (Ch1, sk next st, sc in next st) around. Join with a sl st.
Fasten off
JOINING
Holding both pieces tog, sc in any corner ch1 sp through both pieces. *Ch1, sc through next 2ch sps (through both pieces each time). Rep from * around 3 sides, leaving one narrow end open so you can insert your bar of soap.
OPENING
Ch4, dc in next ch sp. (Ch1,
dc in next ch sp) around opening.
Ch1, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch4.
Fasten off
DRAWSTRING
* Ch1, sc in hump of the chain. Rep from * until piece measures 24".
FINISHING
Weave drawstring through
the dcs on the opening round twice and then join the ends.
Insert your soap and cinch the drawstring to close the opening.
