Small Gift Bag


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size H
4 Ply Cotton Yarn
16" Ribbon
Yarn Needle
3-1/8" Diameter Cardboard Circle

Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


R1: Ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with sl st in top of beg ch-4. Ch 3, turn. (12 dc)

R2: Dc in same st. 2 dc in ea rem dc. Join with sl st in to of beg ch 3. Ch 2, turn.

R3: Hdc in same dc. Hdc in next dc. (2 hdc in next dc, hdc in next dc) around. Join with sl st. Ch 1, Do Not Turn. (36 hdc)

R4: Sc in bl only of ea hdc. Join with sl st in beg ch-1. Ch 4, Do Not Turn.

R5: Sk next sc. Sc in next sc. (Ch 4, sk next sc, sc in next sc) around placing the last sc in the same sp as the beg ch-4. Do Not Turn.

R6: Sl st twice in the next ch-4 sp. (Ch 3, sc in next ch-4 sp) around placing the last sc in the same sp as the beg ch 3.

R7: Sl st in next ch-3 sp. (Ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp) around placing the last sc in the same sp as the beg ch-3.

R8-12: Rep R7.

Fasten Off.

FINISHING: Put cardboard in bottom of the bag. Weave ribbon in and out of the chain spaces that comprise Round 9. Insert gift, draw ribbon snug and tie a bow.
