MATERIALS:

Bernat Softee Baby (Mint - Less than 1 ounce)
Bernat Baby Coordinates (White - small amount)

Hook Size I/9-5:50MM

Stitches: ch, hdc, dc, rev sc, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

BAND

R1: With Mint, Ch9, hdc in 3rd ch from hook.
(ch1, sk 1ch. Hdc in next 2chs) twice.

R2: Ch3, turn. Sk 1hdc.
2hdc in ch1 sp. Ch1.
Sk 2hdc.
2hdc in next ch1 sp. Ch1.
sk 1hdc.
Hdc in last hdc.

R3: Ch2, turn. Hdc in next ch1 sp.
Ch1. Sk 2hdc. 2hdc in next ch sp.
Ch1. Sk 2hdc. Hdc in next ch sp. Hdc in last hdc.

R4: Rep R2.

R5: Rep R3.

Rs 6-28: Continue alternating R2 and R3.

NOTE: For larger head circumference, keep
repeating R2 & R3 until desired measurement.

FINISHING: Holding R1 and R28 tog, join cor sts with sl sts.
Fasten off.

STAR

R1: With Mint, ch4. Sc in 4th ch from hook.
(Ch3, sc in same ch as first sc) 5 times.

R2: Do not turn.
Sc in next ch3 sp.
Ch7.
Sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Hdc in next ch.
Dc in next 2chs.
Hdc in next 2chs.
Sc in same ch3 sp as last sc.

* Sc in next ch3 sp.
Ch7.
Sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Hdc in next ch.
Dc in next 2chs.
Hdc in next 2chs.
Sc in same ch3 sp as last sc.

Rep from * 3 times.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

Fasten off.

R2: Join White with a sc in any st on R1.
Rev sc around entire star, placing 2 rev sc at each point.

Join with a sl st and fasten off.

Sew star onto band at the joining point.
