MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight
     White - less than 1-1/2 oz
     Red - less than 1-1/2 oz

Hook Size G

Stitches: ch, dc, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

STAR

R1: With White, ch5. Join to form a ring. (ch6, sc in ring) 5 times. [5-ch6 lps]

R2: Do not turn. (3sc, ch3, 3sc) in ea ch-6 lp. Join with sl st in first sc.
Fasten off. -Star Made-

R3: Join Red with a sc in any ch3 on the point of the star.
Ch8, (Sc in next Ch3 point. Ch8) around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

R4: Do not turn. * (Sc, ch2) 6 times in next ch-8 sp.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

R5: Sl st in the next ch-2 sp. Ch3, dc in same sp.
2dc in ea rem ch-2 sp. [60dc or 30-2dc sets]
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

R6: Sc bet posts of 2dc in the first 2-dc set.
Ch3.
(Sc bet posts of 2dc in next 2-dc set. Ch3) around.
Join with sl st in first sc. [30 ch-3 sps]

Fasten off.

R7: Join white with a sl st in any ch sp.
Ch3. (Dc, ch2, 2dc) in same sp.
Sc in next ch-sp.
*(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch-sp.
Sc in next ch-sp.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the top fo the beg ch-3.

R8: Do not turn. Sl st in next dc. Ch3.
(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch-2 sp.
Dc in next dc.
Sk next 3sts.
* Dc in next dc.
(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch-2 sp.
Dc in next dc.
Sk next 3sts.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch-3.

Fasten off.

R9: Join Red with a sc in any ch-sp.
Ch5. (Sc in next ch-sp. Ch5.) around.
