Star Centered Doily Free Crochet Pattern

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Peaches & Creme - Clear Water Ombre - Less than 2 ounces
Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, hdc, dc, tr, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

 


R1: Ch4, 11dc in the 4th ch from the hook.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch4.

R2: *Ch5, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.
Hdc in the next ch.
Dc in the next ch.
Tr in the next ch.
Sk the next st on R1.
Sc in the next st on R1. (Star point made)
Rep from * 5 times. (you should have a six point star when finished)

R3: Sl st in ea unworked lp of the first star point.
Sc in the sc at the top of the point.
Ch8
*
Sc in sc at next star point.
Ch8
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

R4: Do not turn. Ch1.
Sc in ea ch st and in ea sc around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc. (54sc)

R5: Do not turn. Ch3.
Dc in the next 3sts.
2dc in the next st.
Ch2.
2dc in the next st.
*Dc in the next 7sts.
2dc in the next st.
Ch2.
2dc in the next st.
Rep from * 4 times.
Dc in the last 3sts.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

R6: Do not turn. Ch3
Dc in ea st around, placing (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in ea ch2 sp.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

R7: Rep R6.

R8: Do not turn. Ch1, sc in the next st.
(Ch3, sk next st. Sc in the next st.) 4 times.
* Ch3, sc in the corner sp.
Ch3, sc in the next dc.
(Ch3, sk the next st. Sc in the next st.) 9 times.
Rep from * 4 times.
Ch3, Sc in corner sp.
Ch3, Sc in the next dc.
(Ch3, sk next st. Sc in next st.) 4 times.
Ch3, join with a sl st in the first sc.
