Teddy Bear Afghan Square

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

 

MATERIALS:

For a larger square use:
Red Heart Super Saver (4ply worsted weight)
Hook Size I
(Measure approximately 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" )

For a smaller square use:
Bernat Baby Sparkle (Sport DK)
Hook Size F
(Measure approximately 5-3/4" x 5-3/4" )

Stitches: ch, sc.

CHART STITCHES:
x = blue sc
all other squares = white sc


Difficulty: MEDIUM


NOTE: Click here for information on chart crochet!

R 1: Ch 29, work the first sc in the 2nd ch from hook, then follow chart, ch-1, turn.
Remaining Rows: Follow chart, chaining 1 after each row and carrying the unused color
when not needed.

NOTE: Carry the unused color to the position you will need it on the next row.

Edging: With blue, work one sc in each st and row end around, placing 3 sc in each corner.
Join with a sl st. Fasten Off.

Using a yarn needle and white yarn, stitch over the white areas for the eyes and nose and form a mouth using the photo as a guide.
