The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size E

Yarn: Simply Soft (two different colors)

1 roll of toilet tissue
Fibre Craft 7-1/2" Doll/Poupee (I know that sounds funny but that's what the label says :o)

Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec, dc, beg cross stitch, cross stitch.

Beg. Cross Stitch: Ch 3, dc to right of beg ch 3.
Cross Stitch: Sk next dc, dc in next dc, dc in dc just skipped.

Sc Dec (a/k/a SINGLE CROCHET NEXT TWO STITCHES TOGETHER):
Insert hook in next st, draw up a lp, (two lps on hk), insert hook in next
st, draw up a lp (3 lps on hook), YO and draw through all 3 lps.

Difficulty: MEDIUM

NOTE: Color(s) may be changed to match any decor.


DRESS:

ROW 1: Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (10 sc)

ROW 2: Working in FL's only, sc in each sc. Ch 1, turn. (10 sc)

ROW 3: Working in BL's only, 2 sc in each sc. Ch 1, turn. (20 sc)

ROW 4: Sc in next 3 sc, ch 4, sk next 4 sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch 4, sk next 4 sc, sc in last 3sc, ch 1 turn.

ROW 5: Sc in next 3 sc, sc in each of next 4 chs, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, sc in next 4 chs, sc in each of last 3 sc, ch 1, turn.

ROW 6: Sc in next 8 sc, sc dec over next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, sc dec over next 2 sc, sc in next 8 sc, ch 1, turn.

ROW 7: Sc in next 6 sc, sc dec over next 2 sc (4 times), sc in lst 6 sc, ch 1, turn.

ROW 8: In BL's only... 2 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn.

ROW 9: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc. Rep from * across, join with sl st to 1st sc of Row 9. Ch 1, Do not turn, place marker.

RND 10: Sc in each sc around.

RND 11: Reposition Marker, sc in each sc around.

RND 12: Reposition Marker, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. Rep from * around.

RNDS 13-15: Reposition Marker, sc in each sc. Join with sl st in next sc, ch 1, Do not turn.

RND 16: Sc in BL only of each sc. Join with sl st in 1st sc made. Ch 3, Do not turn.

RND 17: Dc in sc to right of beg ch 3. (Beg. Cross Stitch) Sk next unworked sc to left of beg ch 3, dc in next sc, dc in sc just skipped. * Sk next sc, dc in next sc, dc in sc just skipped. (Cross Stitch) Rep from * around. Join with sl st. Ch 1, Do not turn.

RND 18: Sc in each st, join with sl st. Sl st in next 2 sts, ch 3, Do not turn.

RND 19-27: Alternate Rnds 17 & 18, ending in Row 17 (chain 4 at end).

RND 28: (Tr, ch 2, 2 tr) in BL only of the same sp as beg ch 4. (2tr, ch 2, 2 tr) in BL only of each rem st. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 4.

FASTEN OFF.

DRESS TRIM:

RND 1: Join contrasting color with a sl st in the unworked lp closest to the center back of Rnd 16. Sc in same st, * Ch 10, sk next 5 sts, sc in next st. Rep from * around. Sl st in 1st ch 10 sp. Ch 1, Do not turn.

RND 2: (sc, hdc, dc, ch 2, dc, ch 2, tr, ch 2, dc, ch 2, dc, hdc, sc) in each ch 10 sp around. Join with sl st to 1st sc made.

FASTEN OFF.

HAT:

ROW 1: With Main Color, ch 4, (last 3 chs of beg ch4 counts as one dc) 6 dc in 4th ch from hk.
Ch 3, turn. (ch3 counts as one dc... you should have 7 dc after Row 1)

ROW 2: 2 dc in each dc. Ch 3, turn. (Ch3 counts as one dc, 14dc after Row 2)

ROW 3: 2 dc in each dc. Ch 1, turn. (Ch3 counts as one dc, 28dc after Row 3)

ROW 4: Sc in each of 1st 5 sts. Hdc in next 5 sts, dc in next 3 sts, tr in next 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 5 sts, sc in last 5 sts. Ch 1, turn.

ROW 5: Sc in next 6 sts. (ch 3, sc in next st) across to last 5 sc. Sc in last 5 sc. Fasten off.

Weave strand of contrasting color in and out of the stitches between rows 4 and 5... draw the hat up and tie under doll's chin.

FINISHING: Add a tie string to the back of the bodice. Put dress on doll and tie the bodice string in a bow so the dress can be easily removed for washing. Stand the doll in the tube of the toilet paper roll.

WEAVE IN ENDS.
