Cutting a

Cut a Continuous Strip

T-Shirt:
Cut off the main bottom. Cut the back of the t-shirt so you have one flat piece. Cutting from side to side, cut one inch from the edge down to about one inch from the other end. Then turn the fabric around and cut one inch over again down to about one inch from the other end. Continue until you have one long continuous piece.

Fleece:
Working lengthwise, cut in the same manner as for the t-shirt.

Q Hook

Stitches: ch, sc.

Difficulty: EASY

R1: With T-Shirt strip, Ch6, sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (5sc)

Rs2-5. Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (5sc)

Fasten off.

EDGE

With Fleece strip, beginning at one corner, whip stitch the fleece along the edge around the entire coaster. You can use your fingers or the crochet hook to pull the fleece through the stitches. Tie at the corner and cut the ends as seen in the photo.
