--------------------------------------------------

Thanks to Lois Karklus I have made a new friend... and so has Haley.
Lois wrote me one evening in October to tell me that an internet friend of hers lived very close to me. As I found out later... Lovely Honeycutt lives about 30 minutes from me. Lovely and I emailed each other from time to time trying to schedule a time to meet each other and we finally did on April 25th. She's such a lovely person and Haley loves her daughter Leigh Anne. We met at the Dairy Queen in Hazard at 1pm and I could've stayed there all day if I hadn't needed to pick up my niece from school. I feel like I've known Lovely and Leigh Anne forever! Of course, Lovely and I want to meet again soon to crochet (or knit) something pretty :o)

Does anyone else live close to Hazard ?

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Mark 11:24

We know that all things work together for good to those who love God.

Romans 8:28

Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

James 5:16

For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great [things] he hath done for you.

1 Samuel 12:22-24

"BE SPECIFIC IN YOUR PRAYERS IF YOU WANT SPECIFIC ANSWERS."

This quote is from Our Daily Bread - April, 2002 Issue.

Bob and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team. The Lord's team was at bat; the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate whose name was Love. Love swung at the fist pitch and hit a single, because Love never fails. The next batter was named Faith, who also got a single because Faith works with Love. The next batter up was Godly wisdom. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch. Godly wisdom looked it over and let it pass. Ball one! Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked, because Godly Wisdom never swings at what Satan throws. The bases are loaded. The Lord then turns to Bob and told him He was now going to bring in His star player. Up to bat stepped Grace. Bob said "he sure doesn't look like much!" Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace. Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, GRACE HIT THE BALL HARDER THAN ANYONE HAD EVER SEEN. But Satan was not worried; his center fielder let very few get by. He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head and sent him crashing to the ground. Then it continued over the fence for a home run! The Lord's team won. The Lord then asked Bob if he knew why Love, Faith, and Godly Wisdom could get on base, but could not win the game, Bob answered that he did not know why. The Lord explained, "If your love, faith and wisdom had won the game, you would think you had done it by yourself. Love, Faith, and Wisdom will get you on base, but only MY Grace can get you home. MY Grace is the only thing Satan cannot steal," May God go before you today and show you His Grace in everything you do. And this is just too good to keep to yourself. SHARE IT! (Someone may need to hear this today)

Hi Lisa thanks so much for your wonderful newsletter.
That pattern for the Bunny Candy Pouch is adorable It turned out so cute.
Thanks a million Keep up your good work..
Betty

I just wanted to drop a quick line and say how refreshing it is to see
someone actually post things about our Lord and savior on their website.
With all that we see going on in the world right now it is becoming
increasingly rare to find people willing to spread the word of the Lord.
God bless you in your work. I will add you to my prayer list and pray that
the seeds that you plant here falls on fertile soil.

God Bless,
Lynette

PRAYER REQUEST

I have another favor to ask. I recently found out that a friend, Marlene Paoletti needs a liver transplant. She originally went into the hospital for gall bladder surgery which caused her liver enzimes to elevate..The doctors gave her steroids which sent her blood sugar to 539 (normal is 80-120). All the problems caused her liver ducts to block and damaged her liver. The average wait for a liver transplant is 12 to 18 months and Marlene has been waiting 5 months. Would you please add Marlene to you prayer chain, it would be much appreciated.
I saw a show on TV several months ago about the power or prayer. A woman doctor formed prayer chains around the world to provide prayers for those in need. The TV message was that in following up on the people who needed prayers found that they were helped. If you have any information about this Doctor I would appreciate locating her for my friend.
Thanks,
Margaret

"If you'll make the toast and pour the juice, sweetheart," said Tracy the
newlywed bride, "breakfast will be ready."

"Good, what are we having for breakfast," said Scott the new husband.

"Toast and juice," Tracy replied.

We had spent the day moving from our farmhouse into our new house in town.

Early the next morning, a Saturday, our 3 1/2-year-old ran into our bedroom
to wake us up.

I dressed him and told him to play in the yard and to quit bothering us.

About 20 minutes later, he came running back.

"Mommy, Mommy," he exclaimed, "everybody has doorbells - and they all work."

Little Johnny sat playing in the garden.
When his mother came out to collect him, she saw that he was slowly eating a worm.
She turned pale. "No, Johnny! Stop! That's horrible! You can't eat worms!"
Trying to convince him further, "Now the mother worm is looking all over for her nice baby-worm."

"No, she isn't," said Johnny.

"Why not?" said the mother.

"Because I ate her first!"

In one small rural town the sheriff also fulfilled the role of the town's
animal Vet.

One night the phone rang, and his wife answered.

An agitated voice inquired, "Is your husband there?"

"Well, do you need him as the sheriff or the vet?" the wife asked.

"Both!" was the reply.

"We can't get our dog's mouth open, and there's a burglar in it."

Two young boys were spending the night at their grandparents.
At bedtime, the two boys kneeled down beside their beds to say their prayers.

Suddenly, the youngest boy began praying at the top of his lungs,
"I PRAY FOR A NEW BICYCLE. I PRAY FOR A NEW NINTENDO. I PRAY FOR A NEW VCR..."

His older brother leans over, nudges his younger brother, and says,
"Why are you shouting your prayers? God isn't deaf!"

The little brother replied, "No, but Grandma sure is!"

A large dog walks into a butcher's shop with a pouch in its mouth.
He puts the pouch down and sits in front of the meat case and scratches at it.
"What is it, boy?" the butcher asks, joking around with his customers.

"Want to buy some meat?"
"Woof!" barks the dog.

"Hmm," says the butcher. "What kind? Liver, bacon, steak--"
"Woof!" interrupts the dog.

"And how much steak? One pound, two pounds?"
"Woof!" says the dog.

The amazed butcher wraps up the meat and finds the money in the dog's purse.

As the dog leaves, the butcher decides to follow.
The dog enters an apartment, climbs to the third floor, and begins to scratch on the door.
With that, the door swings open and an angry man starts shouting at the dog.

"Stop!" yells the butcher. "What are you doing?
That's the most clever animal I've ever seen!"

"Clever?" counters the man...
"This is the third time this week he's forgotten his keys!"

Little Johnny's sixth grade class had all been photographed and the
teacher was urging them to each to buy a copy of the group picture.

"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and remark -
'There's Jennifer... she's a lawyer' or 'There's Michael... he's a doctor.'"

Little Johnny, from the back of the room shouts out...
"And there's the teacher... she's dead!"

I am looking to learn how to crochet and found your site by search. I am a
believer and felt very very happy to see the question raised on the very
first page of your site. It will never cease to amaze me how God works in
our lives and brought me to your page. May the Lord richly bless you.

In His Grace,
Leann
